About Us

For many, the frailty of advancing age and chronic illness makes it impossible to live at home without outside help and support. Our mission remains the same today as it was in 1972 when our non-profit organization was founded: to keep people age 60+ living at home safely and independently by providing assistance and access to a comprehensive range of services.

These services are either provided by Greater Springfield Senior Services, Inc, (GSSSI) or by agencies we contract with. Services include Case Management, Home Care, Home Delivered Meals and Congregate Meals, Money Management, Congregate Housing and Adult Day Care.

Navigating the elder care network can be challenging and time consuming. Our Information and Referral Department serves as the agency's central access point to GSSSI services and can help you find information on local and national elder care resources as well. If you or someone you know may need home care, contact the I&R Department to make a secure online home care referral or send an e-mail.

Greater Springfield Senior Services, Inc. is a state-designated Aging Services Access Point (ASAP) and a federally-designated Area Agency on Aging. We serve: Agawam, Brimfield, East Longmeadow, Hampden, Holland, Longmeadow, Monson, Palmer, Springfield, Wales, West Springfield and Wilbraham.
